Bob Dylan’s Famous “Goes Electric” Strat Up for Auction

At one time, this Fender Stratocaster was the most hated instrument in the world–among die-hard folkies, anyway.

It was at the Newport Folk Festival on July 25, 1965, when Dylan unexpectedly ditched his trademark acoustic guitar for this electric and went on stage with a fully-electrified rock band.  The crowd was not amused. Listen for the boos.
