Bono Hurts Himself and Screws Up U2’s Plans AGAIN
What a drag it is getting old. With your body out of warranty, things start to creak and break and fail. It’s all part of life.
Bono isn’t immune to any of the ravages of life, of course. Twenty years ago, he was diagnosed with glaucoma, something that requires constant treatment and explains his ubiquitous use of sunglasses. Back in 2010, he badly hurt his back causing a full year’s postponement for some of the shows on the 360 Tour. That took surgery and a stint in rehab.
Now it’s happened again. Just as U2 was preparing for some serious promotion for Songs of Innocence and the inevitable tour, Bono once again needs surgery, this time after having some kind of bicycle accident. From the official U2 site:
The injury is to his left arm and the surgery has already been performed.
It was a bad week for Mr. Bono, what with the aircraft accident and everything, huh? Is there some kind of curse on the band with this album?
Think you’re reading too much into it. If you’re active, things are bound to happen.
