Bono’s Worsening Eye Condition

If you think that Bono’s use of sunglasses is some kind of vanity affectation, you’re right.  He admits that. But they also serve a genuine medical purpose.

Bono has a serious sensitivity to light.  Sunlight is especially difficult for him to endure.

If he’s caught unawares by a photographer’s flash, he’ll see spots for the rest of the day and his right eye will swell up.

The conditioning is worsening, too.  Julian Lennon, son of John and a photographer who was in Dublin recently shooting the band as they work on their new album, mentioned something about it in one of the Irish papers.
