Brad Arnold, frontman for 3 Doors Down, has been diagnosed with stage four kidney cancer

A few weeks ago, 3 Doors Down frontman Brad Arnold started to feel unwell. After a bit, he decided he’d better check things out. It turns out he had renal carcinoma (kidney cancer). Not only that, but it has metastasized into a lung.

Arnold is the only remaining member of 3 Doors Down. (Bassist Todd Harrell went to jail for vehicular homicide, and guitarist Matt Roberts died of an overdose in 2016. Arnold has had his own issues but has been sober since 2016.

The band has cancelled all touring commitments for the year. Meanwhile, Brad posted this message in which he says he’s feeling positive despite the progression of the cancer.
