Brian Eno’s Together for Palestine benefit concert raised £1.5 million

The situation in Gaza is beyond horrific. Starvation is looming for many thousands in addition to continued Israeli ground offensives that are pushing more and more Palestinians into a smaller and smaller space.

Thursday (Sept 17), the Brian Eno-organized Together for Palestine benefit concert at Wembley Arena brought together 150 artists and public figures. That included Damon Albarn of Blur, Paul Weller, and PinkPantheress. Annie Lennox and Portishead sent pre-recorded material.

When it was all over, £1.5 million was raised for Palestinian-related charities and organizations.
