British X Factor Runner-UP Says She’ll Perform at the Trump Inauguration–On One Condition (And It’s a Good One)

Rebecca Ferguson was a runner-up on the British edition of The X Factor back in 2010, something that landed her a record deal on both sides of the Atlantic. She’s since released four albums, including Lady Sings the Blues, which features her interpretations of Billie Holiday songs. Hold that thought.

Someone in the Trump organization likes her enough to have extended an invitation for Rebecca to perform at the inauguration. She says she will–on one condition. And it’s a good one.

Well played, Rebecca. Well played. And tell me why the President of the United States of America–the head of state of a country with 320 million people–has to go to another country to find entertainment for his party?
