Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra to Salute Tragically Hip for Canada’s 150th

If you’ve ever doubted how big the Tragically Hip is in some border towns, look no further than Buffalo.

On June 30, the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra will celebrate Canada Day and Canada 150 with a show featuring tribute band The Strictly Hip.

I KNOW! What good neighbours, eh?

The concert, dubbed, Masters of the Music of the Tragically Hip, will also feature contributors from Canadian conductor Bradley Thachuk. He’d been working with The Strictly Hip to arrange our Hip’s music for orchestra and rock band. As far as anyone can tell, this is the first time the Hip’s music will ever be presented this way.

The show starts at 8pm on Friday, June 30, at Canalside Buffalo at 44 Prime Street near KeyBank Centre. General admission is $5 US but you can also upgrade to the VIP experience for $35 US. Tickets can be found at Canalside Buffalo.
