Cameron Crowe Series Called Roadies Picked Up by Showtime

Showtime, home to such shows as Homeland, Nurse Jackie, Shameless, Episodes and Californication, has signed a deal with director Cameron Crowe (Jerry Maguire, Singles, Almost Famous, Vanilla Sky, We Bought a Zoo and the Pearl Jam Twenty doc) to produce a pilot called Roadies.

Rolling Stone reports that the show will follow the daily lives of a road crew working for a successful band, documenting their “reckless, romantic, funny and often poignant lives.”

So far, we know nothing about a production timeline, casting or when the show will air.

  • Hopefully it’s set in the past. The present is so boring.
