Back in 2009, the people in Redmond launched Microsoft Songsmith, an application that automatically creates an instrumental accompaniment to whatever vocals you throw at it.

Adventurous folk who have been paying attention to the recent proliferation of isolated vocal tracks appearing online had an idea. Why not see what MS Songsmith could do with these already-famous vocal takes?  Could the results be better than the original?
