Survey

Can the type of car you drive influence your musical taste? Apparently.

Here’s another survey that’s masquerades as an ad for something. In this case, it’s a look at how various brands of cars can affect the music we play while driving. This is a UK survey for Group1Auto, so keep that in mind when certain manufacturers come up.

  • Fleetwood Mac was found as the top artist whilst driving for UK drivers (71%), followed by Diana Ross (67%) and Kylie Minogue (66%)
  • Coldplay was favoured most by BMW drivers.
  • Got a Skoda? You’re probably into The Eagles.
  • KIA and Mercedes drivers prefer Ed Sheeran
  • Audi and Telsa drivers are most likely to put on some dance music.
  • Hyundai, Peugeot, and Volvo drivers have a thing for musicals.
  • The top genre for drivers in the UK? Pop, with 41% saying it was their go-to driving music. Rock finished second (37%), followed by R&B (23%), indie (21%) classical (21%), and country music (21%).

Here are some nifty charts.
