Canada music sales and streaming stats: 02 October 2023

I’m a little late in getting this posted because I’m over in Scotland and I fell asleep before the Luminate info came. Here then, with my apologies are the Canadian sales and streaming stats from last week.

Last week compared to the same week in 2022.

  • Total album sales, -4.7%
  • CD sales, -10.9%
  • Digital albums, –.16%
  • Digital tracks, -11.3%
  • Vinyl LPs, _23.5%
  • On-demand audio streams, +15.5%

These next numbers compare last week to the week before:

  • Total album sales, -4.1%
  • CD sales, -1.5%
  • Digital albums, -5-5%
  • Digital tracks, -0.1%
  • Vinyl LPs, -6.2%
  • On-demand audio streams, -0.5% (2.587 billion streams in the country last week(
