Canada’s biggest polka band will release at least one more album

If you were around in the early 1980s, you might remember this K-Tel commercial. It ran ALL the time.

The Emeralds, an Edmonton-based polka band, took a Swiss novelty song and blew it up worldwide, going platinum here in Canada, gold in Australia, and with significant sales in Australia and other territories. It was the biggest hit of a career that started in 1970 and has run through about 30 albums.

The Emeralds will release at least one more album. Line up now.
