Canadian Invents New Type of Electric Guitar

Taras Kovaliv is from St. Joachim, Ontario, where he spends an awful lot of time thinking about guitars.  This obsession has manifested itself in the VP-1, a new type of electric guitar that “[departs] from the traditional “inward” string-bend bias of conventional straight-necked guitars.”  In other words, guitarists can get new and interesting sounds out of this thing.

Yes, it looks vaguely like a Klingon blade weapon (A cross between a bat’leth and a mek’leth, maybe?), but it’s got some pretty cool capabilities.
