Canadian monthly podcast listening just going up

As the creator of two podcasts, this news warms my heart. According to a new Signal Hill study, 46% of Canadians 18+ indulge in podcasts, up from 39% last year. Year-over-year, that’s a healthy bump of 19%. Here’s a nifty chart.

More notes:

  • There was a 16% increase in weekly listening. Now one-third of Canadian adults listen to podcasts every week.
  • People new to Canada are huge into podcasts (64%).
  • French Canadian listening to podcasts dropped last year but has rebounded from 24% to 33%.
