Thanksgiving? Maybe, but the Canadian recorded music industry needs its weekly numbers. Here we go:

Year-over-year comparisons:

  • Total album sales, -11.4%
  • CD sales, -4.9%
  • Digital albums, -27.8%
  • Digital tracks, -26.4%
  • Vinyl LPs, +43.2%
  • On-demand audio streams, +12.4%

And now, the week-over-week numbers:

  • Total album sales, +3.1%
  • CD sales, +0.8%
  • Digital albums, -0.5%
  • Digital tracks, -3.3%
  • Vinyl LPs, +17.9%
  • On-demand audio streams, +0.5% (1.979 billion streams in the country last week).
