Can’t get enough bass? This AI is playing an infinite bass solo

CJ Carr and Zack Zuckowski must really like bass players because they’ve programed their recurrent neural network (RNN) to generate an infinite bass solo. And they’d like to share it.

They got their bass-playing friend Adam Neely to improvised on his guitar for two hours using the same bass, pickup, tone, amp, and tempo (85 BPM) in E-minor and to a drum groove. That was fed into the RNN which was then instructed to build on things on its own forever. The results were cool enough for them to stream the whole thing on YouTube.

Please enjoy. (Via TNW)
