I Can’t Wait for Morrissey to Hear About Tanya Tagaq’s Holiday Gift Idea

Inuk throat singer and Polaris Music Prize winner Tanya Tagaq is a fierce defender and advocate of First Nations traditions, including the right to hunt. She’s probably the only singer in the world to come out in favour of the annual seal hunt.

For this holiday season, Tagaq’s record label, Six Shooter Records, is offering a vinyl edition of her Retribution album that comes with a couple of cuffs made from seal fur in support of National Seal Products Day. (Who knew there was such a thing?)

Morrissey–who has said he’ll never tour Canada again as long as the seal hunt is allowed to continue–should hear about this. It would be fun to watch his head explode. Order yours here.
