Chad Smith of the Red Hot Chili Peppers takes the ALS Hot Pepper Challenge
Remember the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge from back in 2015? The Internet was swamped with videos of people dumping ice water over the heads in an effort to raise money for amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, otherwise known as Lou Gehrig’s disease, the condition Stephen Hawking lives with and one that killed my brother-in-law.
The new thing is the Hot Pepper Challenge, which is just like it sounds: people agree to eat insanely hot peppers (Scotch bonnets are among the worst/best).
Who better to get things started in the music sphere than Chad Smith, drummer for the Red Hot Chili Peppers? Weirdly, though, Chad doesn’t like hot peppers.
Steve Gleason I (reluctantly) accept your #ALSPepperChallenge @ALSTDI has raised over $500K thru the challenge. I challenge you @MikeMcCreadyPJ & Will Ferrell @funnyordie to do the same! @TeamGleason pic.twitter.com/6BwIQGdmRt

Anyone else?

My first symptoms of ALS occurred in 2011, couldn’t walk without a walker or a power chair, i had difficulty swallowing. I was given medications which helped but only for a short burst of time, then i decided to try alternative measures and began on ALS Formula treatment from Kycuyu Health Clinic, It has made a tremendous difference for me (Visit ww w. Kycuyuhealthclinic .c om). I had improved walking balance, increased appetite, muscle strength, just amazing how effective this treatment helped me
