Vinyl continues to expand its sales lead over CDs in Canada. Who would have ever guessed that this would ever happen again? Here’s the latest from Luminate.

  • CDs sold in Canada last week: 30,532 (down 2.4% from last week)
  • Vinyl sold in Canada last week: 31,111 (down 0.4% from a week ago)
  • CDs sold in Canada so far this year: 292,639 (up 2.2% from a year ago)
  • Vinyl sold in Canada so far this year: 326,039 (up 16.7% from this point in 2024)

Streaming numbers:

  • Songs streamed last week: 2,796,140,822 (up 0.2% from last week)
  • Songs streamed in Canada so far this year: 26,783,764,501 (up 5.9% from a year ago)
