Cincinnati Bengals Fans Hate Katy Perry

Well, her song “Roar,” anyway.

Someone associated with the team thought it might be a good idea to use the song as part of the pre-game, in-game and post-game festivities.

Why?  Because tigers–Bengal tigers, presumably–roar.  Geddit?

Fans freaked out on social media to the point where the team agreed to cut back the use of the song.

Funny that no other feline-named team (i.e. the Detroit Tigers) have experienced such a backlash over the song.

Then again, my dog is from the Cincinnati area (she was born in Alexandria, Kentucky, just across the river) and also gets quite agitated at hearing “Roar.”

We’ll see if they use it at all when the Bengals play the Packers tomorrow.
