Climate change has torched Eddie Vedder’s vocal cords

Europe is burning. A brutal heatwave has unleashed wildfires across the continent, resulting in smoke, dust, and acrid air everywhere. And Eddie Vedder is feeling it.

After Pearl Jam played a show in Paris, Eddie found that the bad air totally messed up his throat and vocal cords. A show in Vienna had to be canceled because he just couldn’t sing. Then today’s show (July 22) in Prague also had to be called off. The band broke the news via Instagram.

Pearl Jam is supposed to finish their European tour with two shows in Amsterdam on Sunday. The Canadian portion of the tour will begin in Quebec City on September 1.
