Coachella did not sell out in 2024. Will things rebound with this 2025 lineup?

The days may still be getting shorter, but it’s around this time that we start hearing about big music festivals scheduled for the year ahead. Glastonbury tickets went on sale earlier this month and sold out instantly–and we won’t know who’s playing for many, many weeks.

Yesterday (November 20), it was Coachella’s turn. After failing to properly sell out last year which, let’s face it, had a really so-so lineup for pop and hip-hop stars, the festival tilts every-so-slightly-to the rock side for the second and third April weekends of 2025. It’s still nowhere near the Coachella of old, but at least rock is represented a little more. Will this help ticket sales? (Tickets here.)

Notable rock and alt-rock acts for Coachella 2025:

  • Green Day (headliners on the Saturday night)
  • Misfits (interesting choice)
  • Circle Jerks (ditto)
  • Jimmy Eat World
  • The Prodigy
  • Amy and the Sniffers (so good!)
  • Speed
  • The Go-Go’s (nice!)
  • Japanese Breakfast
  • Bob Vylan
  • The Beaches (Finally! Some Cancon!)

The other headliners are Lady Gaga (Friday) and Post Malone (Sunday). Here’s the official poster.
