Coldplay Plays a Gig in a Pub. No, Really.

Imagine heading down to the local for a pint only to find out that the entertainment for the night is from Coldplay.  That’s exactly what happened Monday night at the Ring O’ Bells in Compton Martin, a little village in Somerset.

This isn’t as random as it might seem, though.  The pub was bought by Mike Leonard, the chairman of Parlophone, Coldplay’s label.  It was essentially a staff Christmas party.

However, not everyone was so thrilled.  Regulars couldn’t get in.  And you know what happens when you deprive a man of his nightly pint…
