If you went to any of the shows on the Mylo Xyloto tour, you probably still have the “Xyloband” that was given to ever member of the audience. The way they all changed colour with the music was admittedly pretty cool. And it was expensive.
Each of the wristbands–capable of emitting green, blue, yellow, red, pink and white with their radio-controlled light-emitting diodes–cost $5 each to make. And Coldplay had to make a lot of them.
The final tally for just the wristbands was about $7.2 million. Considering that the entire tour grossed about $60 million, that’s represents a sizeable cost, doesn’t it?
