Composer Hans Zimmer has been hired by BMW to create a “soundtrack” for an electric car.

Outside of the crunch of tires, electric cars are completely silent. You can’t hear one coming, which means it’s a serious safety problem for pedestrians. Manufacturers know that they need to have these vehicles make some kind of noise. But what?

Academy- and Grammy Award-winning composer Hans Zimmer (you may know him from such films as The Dark Knight, The Lion King and many, many others) has been hired by BMW to come up with an “audio sountrack” for their upcoming i4 electric vehicle.
