Convicted Pedophile and Ex-Lost Prophets Singer to Score Big with Band’s Breakup

Ian Watkins, the scumball pedophile and former frontman for the Welsh band Lostprophets, may be facing a 30 year jail sentence, but he’s still earning money.

Lostprophets cannot continue; the band has to break up.  This means their assets have to be distributed amongst the principal owners of the group’s business entity.  And that includes Watkins.

According to The Daily Mail, that amounts to £700,000, meanings that Watkins’ share will be around £150,000. He’s entitled to the money because he earned it legitimately before the scandal broke.  None of it came from the proceeds of crime, so it’s his.

Meanwhile, it’s estimate that Watkins will also earn over £100,000 in royalties over the course of his sentence.

Of course, he won’t get a chance to spend any of it for a long, long time.  And who knows if he’ll make it through his sentence?
