Cool! Abbey Road Creates Fully Immersive 360-Degree Mix of Pink Floyd’s “Comfortably Numb.”

First, we had mono. Then came stereo, quad, surround, 5.1, DTS, THX and more. Now the boffins at Abbey Road have remixed Pink Floyd’s Live 8 performance into a different kind of surround mix that they say is totally immersive. The full installation will be on display at an upcoming presentation entitled “The Pink Floyd Exhibition: Their Mortal Remains” at London’s Victoria & Albert Museum. It opens May 13.

Here’s what went into this special mix. Gotta hear this.
