Cool Gadget: Baseball Cap Hides Bone Conducting Headphones

I’m very interested in the new generation of headphones that have descended from military grade communications systems.

Bone conduction headsets send the sound into the bones of your skull instead of into your ear canals. The vibrations travel directly to the inner ear where they’re converted into the neuro-electrical energy that the brain can interpret as sound.

The primary advantage is that you get to hear everything:  your music AND the sound around you.

Cynaps wants to manufacture a baseball cap that features built-in bone conductors plus a mic.  This has promise.
