Cops are investigating suspected drugging at a Montreal festival
France has had a problem over the last couple of years. Someone (probably many someones) has been drugging people at festivals and clubs across the country. People report feeling a little sting and then getting all drowsy and woozy. The weapon seems to be a syringe. There have been dozens of cases in France.
Now there’s been a problem at Parc Jean-Drapeau in Montreal. The îLESONIQ EDM festival took place on August 9 and 10. Police report that at least six people say they felt a “sharp prick” while dancing in a crowd after which they felt really, really dizzy. These incidents are being treating as possible poisonings.
Tne promoter released this statement: “The safety of our attendees is our highest priority, and we take these incidents very seriously. Our teams are working closely with the police, on-site medical staff, and a dedicated prevention group to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone.”
