Courtney Love Had a Good News/Bad News Day in Court

The Widow Cobain won a legal victory today when a judge declared the jury’s decision in the Rhonda Holmes “twibel” trial was correct and that there’s no reason for the case to be retried.  Courtney is off the hook in this one–and it probably means I’ll never have to testify in the case again.  That’s okay by me.

However, in another Twitter-related case, Courtney was ordered to pay $96,000 to fashioned designer Dawn Simorangkir, who was the target of some pointed comments.  She settled the case for $450,000 last year and had been making the payments at the rate of $50K at a time.

But then she missed the January payment, which led to another trip to court. The judgement was enforced and Courtney is now ordered to pay the balance of the settlement.

  • Is it just me? I am so sick of stories about this lunatic. Why is this even news? What die she ever do besides marry Kurt Cobain?
