Dave Grohl and Greg Kurstin finish up their eight nights of Hanukkah. See/hear all their cover songs here.
Dave Grohl doesn’t like to sit around, so whenever anyone asks him to play on a new song, he’s up for it.
This week he’s working with Greg Kurstin on a project that will see a bunch of songs for Hanukkah. Over eight days, they will release material by eight prominent Jewish artists.
Here’s night one.
Day Two of the project featured Drake’s “Hotline Bling.”
Day three went to Mountain.
Day four is Peaches.
Day five featured Bob Dylan.
Day six was interesting: Elastica.
When it came to day seven, they chose The Knack. Not the big hit, mind you, but this obscurity.
And for day eight, my favourite Velvet Underground song.
