Dave Grohl has this note for fans about the emotional Foo Fighters tour

I noticed a couple of posts on Reddit by Foo Fighters fans who are worried about Dave Grohl on the current Foo Fighters tour. They note that he seems to be out of breath after less than half a dozen songs and is obviously working harder at being the frontman and maybe trying too hard to carry all the emotion of touring without Taylor Hawkins for the first time.

Listen, this tour has to be tough for everyone involved. As well as being Dave’s best friend, Taylor was a member of the band for 25 years. Adjusting to his absence must be unbelievably hard. (Imagine what drummer Josh Freese is feeling, too.)

Dave decided that he needed to send a message to fans about how he and the band are doing. Here it is.

“Hey, it’s been a while. Now that we’ve returned from our first run of shows, I felt compelled to reach out and thank you all for being there for us.

“Every night, when I see you singing, it makes me sing harder. When I see you screaming, it makes me scream louder. When I see your tears, it brings me to tears. And when I see your joy, it brings me joy. But, I see you… and it feels good to see you, churning up these emotions together.

“Because we’ve always done this together. Time and time again. See you soon. Dave”
