Dave Grohl is developing a TV series with his mom

Dave Grohl has been working with his mom, Ginny, for several years on bringing her book to television. From Cradle to Stage: Stories from Mothers who Rocked and Raised Rock Stars is a great read featuring moms of Geddy Lee, Michael Stipe, Dr. Dre, Mike D of the Beastie Boys, and Amy Winehouse.

A deal has now been signed with the new streaming site, Paramount+. When complete, it will be a six-part series that explores the bonds these moms have with their famous kids. Ginny will be in one episode, of course.

No details on when this series might premiere or whether we can even get Paramount+ in Canada (there are now so many streaming services beyond Netflix that I can’t keep up), but I’m sure we’ll hear more soon.
