Dave Grohl Surprises Toronto Crowd at Prophets of Rage Show

Make Canada Rage Again

Things were going swimmingly at last night’s (August 24) Prophets of Rage show at the Molson Amphitheatre. Then just before 11pm, this happened:

PERSON 1: This is AWESOME! This is the best thing since Rage Against the Machine!

PERSON 2: F**k, yeah! It can’t possibly get any bet–OH MY GOD IS THAT DAVE GROHL ON STAGE?

It was.

He bounded onstage and accompanied Prophets through a cover of the MC5’s “Kick Out the Jams.” The crowd went wild, of course. The whole thing (as in the whole concert) was streamed on Facebook. The Dave bit comes up at almost exactly the 2 hour mark.

Once they were done, Prophets roared into “Killing in the Name” without Dave, but then he returned to take a bow at the end. (Thanks to Michael and Julias for the pictures.)
