Dave Mustaine Endorses Republican Who Says “Birth Control Is Harmful to Women”

God bless Dave Mustaine.  Good for him in finding solace, redemption and salvation through God after years of drug abuse and metal excess.  The man is now quite religious and isn’t afraid to defend his faith even in the face of adversity and scorn from not-so-pious metallers.

And good for Mustaine for engaging in the American political process.  While we might find primary season rather weird, it’s a big part of the electoral process, hence the breathless coverage of the battles between Mitt Romney, Newt Gingrinch, Ron Paul and Rick Santorum.

If you haven’t been following the primaries, Santorum, a hardcore Catholic, is currently in the lead for the race to grab the Republican nomination. What I find fascinating and scary is that this guy seems to have a hate-on for birth control.  All birth control.  For everyone.

Why? Because he believe that birth control is “harmful to women.”  And Dave Mustaine has endorsed Santorum.
