David Bowie’s Final(?) Recordings Released on His 70th Birthday

David Bowie would have been 70 yesterday. To mark the anniversary of his death a new four-track EP was released featuring what may very well be his final recordings. The No Plan EP features “Lazarus” (from the Blackstar album) and three songs written for the musical of the same name: “No Plan,” “Killing a Little Time” and “When I Met You.” Everything is available for sampling on all the streaming services like Spotify,

There’s also a video for “No Plan,” which was directed by Tom Hingston. Note the name of the electronics store. It’s a nod toward Thomas Jerome Newton, Bowie’s character in The Man Who Fell to Earth back in 1976 and the source material for much of Lazarus.
