Departure, the new name for Canadian Music Week, has its first lineup announcement

Canadian Music Week lives, but it has new owners and a new coat of paint. Now called Departure (Canadian Music Week Reimagined), it promises to expand offerings from just music to art, comedy, and tech.

Set for May 6-11 at Hotel X on the Exhibition grounds in Toronto, Departure has announced the first round of guests/appearances for the conference.

The conference will also feature Radiodays North America, tech sessions curated by tech festival organizer Elevate, along with film screenings. (A Pavement documentary will be shown.)
