Depeche Mode to Release Entire Catalogue on Vinyl

Every single album on 180 gram vinyl, too, complete with gatefold sleeves and lots of liner notes.

But the order of their releases strikes me as a bit odd. Instead of doing things chronologically beginning with Speak and Spell, these new vinyl editions will come at us in a rather haphazard way.

The first batch out today (February 4) will include Some Great Reward, Black Celebration, Music for the Masses and Songs of Faith and Devotion. On March 25th, we’ll get A Broken Frame, Construction Time Again, Violator and Ultra.  The last hunk will come may 27th with Speak and Spell, Exciter, Playing the Angel and Sounds of the Universe.

I’m sure Mute Records has their reasons.
