Here’s Deryck Whibley’s video message about his “extremely heavy” week. So is this video.

The fallout from some of the allegations in Deryck Whibley’s memoir, Walking Disaster: My Life Through Heaven and Hell has been…intense. In the book, the Sum 41 frontman says he as groomed and abused by former manager and producer Grieg Nori. He has vigorously denied the claims and has apparently hired a defamation lawyer.

Deryck released this video with the title “So it has come to this…” It’s short–91 seconds–but it’s a lot. He stands behind every word in his book. He calls out Grieg Nori directly for calling him a liar. “There’s only one way to settle this. Under oath. In front of a judge. In front of a jury.

“I take no pleasure in this. Anytime you want, I’m ready.”
