Did you know there was a Stranger Things online radio station?

If you’re a fan of Stranger Things–season five is finally here–you’ll maybe remember that WSQK is the series’ fictional radio station in Hawkins, Indiana, that’s forever stuck in the 1980s. It’s been turned into an actual radio station that broadcast in London and is available online globally.

Damn, it’s pretty good, complete with all the 80s-style jingles and production. There are DJs, news reports, and commercials for local businesses in Hawkins. Even industry people are impressed.

Radio Today says, “To replicate the authentic 80s sound WSQK is being processed using a vintage Inovonics FM250 audio processor. These were released in 1983 and were in use across thousands of stations around the world during the latter part of the 80s.”
