Diddy update: 6 things people are talking about today

The Sean “Diddy” Combs situation has the potential to reach Jeffrey Epstein levels, perhaps beyond. Now that he’s in jail awaiting trial on s*x trafficking, kidnapping, arson, racketeering, blackmail, weapons charges, drugs, etc etc etc, we’re seeing to two things.

First, people associated with Diddy–especially those who may have attended his days-long drug-fueled “freak off parties” have gone to ground, terrified that they’re going to be dragged into whatever investigations are going on. That means many, many celebrities are not sleeping well right now. They knew.

Second, others feel safe enough to talk about what they knew, what they saw, and, in some cases, what they did. Some of this talk is “I told you so” while others are talking in hopes that they can cut a deal and avoid prosecution.

Here are some things about the Diddy case for today.

1. They Knew. They. Knew.

Diddy’s party-and-extortion rep was sell known throughout the hip-hop community. But a culture of silence kept him safe for decades. That tough guy, hyper-masculine environment is now crumbling.

2. An inmate claims he was Diddy’s s*x slave

His name is Jonathan Oddi, an incarcerated former p**n star. The dude has a lot to say what he saw, what he did, and what was done to him.

3. Diddy’s suicide watch continues

Diddy is cooling his jets in the Metropolitan Detention Center, a Brooklyn jail that’s got a bad reputation. Word is that Diddy isn’t enjoying himself, either, hence the suicide watch. However, this this is apparently a “routine suicide watch,” whatever that means, If they lose him like they lost Epstein…

4. Video of Diddy’s arrest has been released

It happened in the lobby of NY hotel. Here’s how it went down.

5. Here comes the tax man

Another Diddy problem: The IRS. What are they looking for? What will they seize?

6. The first documentary is here

That didn’t talk long. Apple TV+ has The Downfall of Diddy.
