Do you use Apple CarPlay? There have been some changes with iOS16

As an iPhone user who has been endless frustrated by various infotainment systems, I won’t even look at a car now unless it comes equipped with CarPlay. It’s not perfect but it’s a whole lot better than pretty much every OEM systems.

Both Apple and Google are making deeper pushes into the automotive world as they try to convince manufacturers into letting them have more integration into the systems of vehicles. Carmakers don’t want to give up this control, but with the advances being made, they may not have much of a choice.

There are some new CarPlay features available with iOS16. This video explains what they are. (Via HotCars)

  • Great video. Thanks for introducing the new features. I wish there was a satellite view like Google.
