Don’t like the new Eminem album? Maybe you’re listening to it wrong. Here’s what that means.

Many of the reviews for the new Eminem album, The Death of Slim Shady ((Coup De Grâce) have…well, not been kind. “Good try,” is about the best I’ve seen. However, maybe everyone has been listening to it wrong.

There are 19 tracks, which, you would think, should be listened in order. Maybe not.

Listening to the songs from tracks 1-19 tells the story of Em confronting Slim Shady, his alter-ego, and then taking care of him. But if you take Em’s advice and follow a theory put forth by hardcore fans, the rest way to listen is from 19-1. Many claim that this will make the album make sense. Instead of the death of Slim Shady, you get the death of Eminem. This way, Shady kills Eminem.
