Drake loses big after betting on the Mavericks in the NBA finals–and could lose even more tonight.
Drake loves to gamble but his track record is spotty some lousy picks across the NFL, NBA, F1, and MMA. He did do well with the Super Bowl but he also recently lost £1.7m on UFC fighter Israel Adesanya. And last night, US$500,000 in Bitcoin disappeared when the Celtics beat the Mavericks in the NBA final. Had the Mavs been successful, Drake would have taken home US$1.3 million or so.
Tonight, the Edmonton Oilers are in a must-win situation with the Florida Panthers, down 3-1 in the Stanley Cup final. Drake has US$500,000 in Bitcoin on the Oilers.
Drake isn’t short of cash and if he’s betting Bitcoin, that’s just play money to him. He’s laying his bets on a crypto casino called Stake, a company in which he holds a, er, stake.
