Drake and The Weeknd Battle It Out for Spotify Supremacy

When it comes to artists on Spotify, Canada, rules. Drake is the most-streamed act on Spotify with 1.8 billion listens so far this year. Digging deeper, he has 35.96 million listeners each month. Impressive, yes, but he’s number two in that category, The Weeknd is number one with 36,97 listeners.

Interesting to note that that there are just two rock acts in the top 25: Coldplay at number 12 with about 25 million listeners per month and Imagine Dragons at number 23 with 18.5 million. The rest are pop acts. (Via Music Business Worldwide)
