Drake’s mansion flooded in yesterday’s Toronto monsoon

Almost 100mm of rain dropped on Toronto over a three-and-a-half hour period yesterday afternoon (July 16), causing flooded streets and freeways and cutting power to a couple hundred thousand people.

With that much rain, basements were flooded, too. With older homes in older neighborhoods, you can understand that. But when you build a custom multi-million-dollar mansion in the swankiest area of the city, you’d think that flooding wouldn’t be a problem.

Nope. Just ask Drake.

His US$100 million 50,000 square-foot Bridal Path house–which was just completed a couple of years ago–ended up ankle deep in muddy water.
