Drake’s security guard shot outside his Bridle Path home in Toronto–and someone broke into his house (with updates)

Is Drake’s beef with Kendrick Lamar getting out of hand? Police won’t say yet, but they will confirm that a security guard outside Drake’s home on the Bridle Path in Toronto was shot at around 2:09 am Tuesday (May 7) in what appears to be a drive-by attack. The victim took a slug to the upper chest and has been transported to hospital with life-threatening injuries. [UPDATE: Police say a vehicle was involved but have stopped short of calling it a drive-by. The security guard was standing outside the front gates when the attack occurred. The victim was still in critical condition as of midday yesterday.]

[UPDATE: Here’s how the feud blew up in just a couple of weeks.]

Drake was not injured. In fact, we’re not sure he was even home at the time. The investigation is ongoing. [UPDATE: Here are the cops’ plans for investigating. (Via Christopher)]

If that weren’t enough, police responding to a second situation at Drake’s home on Wednesday (May 8). At around 2pm, an intruder was arrested. The police statement was “Offices were called after a person attempted to gain entrance to the propertly. The person was apprehended under the Mental Health Act.”
