Drive a truck? Do you agree with these survey results on what music truck drivers like the most?

American Trucks, a website for, well, truck enthusiasts, decided to survey over 400 truck owners and 400 non-truckers to determine what kind of music goes best with owning a truck.

It’s country music, right? Nope. They sent me this note.

  • Rock (21%), hip-hop (20%), and pop (12%) are the top genres non-truck owners think truck owners prefer
  • Hip-hop (24%), rock (23%), and soul (12%) are the top genres truck owners actually prefer
  • 4 in 10 truck owners have been stereotyped for driving a truck, with over half (54%) of non-truck owners believing truck drivers make their vehicle their entire personality
  • Country? Er, it’s nowhere.

You’re welcome.
