Driver Accused of Running Down People at SXSW Was a Performer Himself

The driver under arrest for mowing down people at SXSW on Wednesday night, killing two and injuring 22, was himself a performer at the festival.

Radhad Owens, of Killeen Texas, was at the festival to perform as KillingAllBeatz or K.A.B. 254.  He was apparently on his way to perform his set when the incident occurred.   Owen’s blood alcohol level was found to be .114.  He’s in jail pending $3 million bail.  The charge is capital murder, which in Texas could lead to the death penalty.

More coverage at The Austin American Statesman.  Meanwhile, here’s a sample of his work.
