Drummer’s Porn: Neil Peart’s Time Machine Drum Kit

Neil Peart is one of my heroes. The fills in “By-Tor and the Snowdog” are the reason I began taking drum lessons. Within three years, I’d amassed a Tama Imperialstar kit just like the one Neil played in the early 80s. It’s still set up in my basement.

I’ve seen Rush countless times in my life including several gigs on the Time Machine tour. Recently, Just Drums in Toronto had Peart’s TM kit on display. Take a look. (Thanks to Ian for the video! He wrote the music to go with the clip, too.)
